The leadership team is guided by the Lord Jesus Christ, and are dedicated to server Him and the members at Grace Gospel Church.

Pastor Compton Beaton- It is an honor to serve the Lord as the Pastor of Grace Gospel Church in South Toms River NJ.

 

In 2005, the previous pastor of the church resigned leaving a membership of seven people five adults and two children. The Lord called pastor into the ministry and gave him the Scripture from Matthew 14:13-21, verse 16 “…They need not depart; give ye them to eat.” After answering the call, the Lord equipped him for the task by sending him to Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary and he was installed as the new pastor on March 19, 2006.

 

Pastor Compton and his wife Coreta are from Guyana, South America, and now reside in Toms River, New Jersey. They have been involved in church ministry for over thirty years and faithfully continue to serve the Lord in this new capacity. They have two sons, Samuel and Stephen, who are also serving in the ministry alongside them.

Meet the Deacon
Deacon and Mrs. Frank Thompson

Frank Thompson was born in Guyana (South America-West Indies) and has been involved in ministry for over some 30 years. 


He has attended Grace Gospel Church for 10 years. Deacon Thompson is very versatile in ministry, and therefore he is not only involved in declaring the Word from the pulpit, but is also a worship leader, Sunday school teacher, and the Children’s Program director. Apart from serving on the board of the church, he also serves on the planning committee for Child Evangelism Fellowship in Ocean County, New Jersey. He loves to listen and appreciates all genres of gospel music and sensible secular

songs. Frank loves the fellowship at Grace Gospel Church, and is very excited about being involved in a ministry that seeks to glorify Jesus for who He is.

Karen

Karen Lemmerman is the daughter  of Robert and Doris Scholz, one of the founders of Grace Gospel Church. Karen has worked with children in her secular job for several years, she serves as assistant treasurer and assistant leader in the Ladies Fellowship.
